Police have charged two youths after an armed robbery in Acacia Ridge yesterday morning.

Around 12.50am, three males entered a Learoyd Road service station armed with a meat cleaver and a baseball bat.

They demanded cash from a male employee before they left the petrol station on foot with a sum of money.

The trio ran across Learoyd Road and drove off in a white Holden commodore with unknown registration.

A 17-year-old Inala man has been charged with armed robbery and enter premises to commit indictable offence. He is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A 15-year-old Inala boy has been charged with armed robbery and enter premises to commit and indictable offence. He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Police are still searching for the third male.

Investigations are continuing.
