Police have charged a second man following the armed robbery of a hotel at Goodna earlier this year.

It will be alleged around 5.15am on March 19, two men confronted an employee outside the Queen Street establishment, threatening him with a firearm and demanding he unlock the door.

The staff member complied and the two men entered the premises and allegedly stole a sum of cash before fleeing the scene.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

A 41-year-old Kangaroo Point was charged earlier this month in relation to the incident.

Today, a 37-year-old Goodna man was charged with serious assault, deprivation of liberty and armed robbery.

He will appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 5.
