Detectives investigating an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store on Perth Street, Rangeville (Toowoomba) on July 5 have released an image of a man (pictured) who they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

Around 10.45pm a man entered the business armed with a knife and made demands for cash. Staff denied his demands and the man fled on foot.

The man is described as approximately 175cm tall, of medium build and Caucasian appearance and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured balaclava, dark hoodie, dark pants and black running shoes.

No one was injured during the incident and nothing was stolen.

Investigations are continuing.
