Detectives have charged two men following the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store in Dinmore early this morning.
Police will allege at around 1:15am two men entered the business on Brisbane Road, armed with machetes and demanded money from a 19-year-old male staff member.
The staff member complied with the men’s demands before the two men fled the scene on foot. The staff member was not injured during the incident.
Two men were located by officers with assistance from members of the dog squad in Dinmore a short time later.
A 21-year-old Riverview man has been charged with one count of armed robbery whilst in company and is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today, August 8.
