Banyule Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a milk bar in Watsonia North earlier this month.
Investigators have been told a man carrying a backpack entered the Cameron Parade milk bar just before 8pm on Friday 14 August.
He opened the bag and demanded cash from the attendant who spoke limited English.
She believed the bandit was in possession of a weapon and placed an amount of cash into his back pack.
The robber then fled the scene and was last seen running west along Cameron Parade.
Detectives have released images and CCTV of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
