A 22-year-old man has been charged following the armed robbery of five stores across the Brisbane region in the past 24 hours.
Around 6.55pm yesterday, a man allegedly held up a Beaudesert Road adult store at Coopers Plains. The man threatened the attendant before fleeing with a sum of cash.
At around 4.55am today, a man entered a Boundary Road, Coopers Plains service station and allegedly demanded cash. The attendant told the man there was no cash on the premises, and the man left on foot.
It will further be alleged shortly after 5am, a man entered a petrol station on Kessels Road at Macgregor where he demanded cash from an employee. He left the store with a sum of money. A female attendant was transported to hospital after suffering shock.
Around 5.30am, a man allegedly held up a service station on Compton Road at Kuraby where he stole a sum of cash.
Around 7am, a man entered a convenience store on Stafford Road at Gordon Park. The man fled the scene after allegedly stealing money from the attendant.
During each incident, the man was allegedly armed with a replica firearm.
A 22-year-old Crestmead man has been charged with five counts each of armed robbery and entering a premises and committing an indictable offence and one count of attempted armed robbery. He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
One of the armed robbery charges relates to the armed robbery of a convenience store on Kameruka Street at Calamvale on September 26.
