Police in Sydney’s south west are investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Bankstown.
Just before 6pm yesterday (Tuesday 20 October 2015), two men entered the store on Canterbury Road armed with a knife.
The pair confronted the attendant, a 51-year-old man, and threatened him with the knife while demanding money.
They fled with cash and police were alerted.
Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was forensically examined overnight.
An investigation is underway in an attempt to identify and locate those involved.
Both men were wearing long dark pants and a grey hooded jumper and had masks covering their faces.
Anyone with information that may assist police is urged to come forward.
