A man has been charged following investigations into the armed robbery of a Merrimac bottleshop last night.
It will be alleged just before 8pm a man entered the Jura Parade business and demanded money, intimating he was armed with a firearm.
The male attendant handed over a sum of cash before the man ran off.
The attendant was not physically injured.
A 22-year-old Merrimac man has been charged with armed robbery and is expected to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
