Police are appealing for public assistance following the armed robbery of a pharmacy on Murrajong Road in Springwood overnight.

Initial investigations suggest shortly before 7pm a man entered the business armed with a kitchen knife and demanded money from two attendants.

The attendants complied with the man’s demands, handing over a sum of cash before he fled the scene on foot and was last seen in a park off Carol Avenue.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, 175cm with a slim build and was last seen wearing a red hooded jumper and black pants.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man in the area to contact Crime Stoppers.
