Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station in Newborough last week.
Investigators have been told a man attended a petrol station on Naracan Drive about 5am on Saturday 30 January.
The man approached the counter and threatened the attendant with a firearm and demanded money.
The offender then fled with a quantity of cash and was last seen crossing railway tracks onto Hagans Track.
No one was injured during the incident.
Detectives have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries as well as an image of a bag the man was carrying.

The man is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, aged between 20 and 45-years-old, 167cm tall, with a solid build and had missing and dirty teeth.
He was wearing a blue check hoodie, grey tracksuit pants, black shoes and green beanie.
The man was also carrying a distinctive patchwork bag.
