A man has been charged after an alleged attempted armed robbery in Sydney’s north-west last night.
About 11.45pm (Saturday 5 March 2016), police were called to a service station on Windsor Road, Rouse Hill, after reports of a man allegedly threatening staff with a firearm.
It will be alleged the armed man, aged 22, became involved in an altercation with a male customer, who subsequently detained him.
Police from The Hills Local Area Command attended and arrested the man.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries he sustained during the incident, where he was charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, possess unregistered firearm (prohibited firearm), and possess unauthorised prohibited firearm.
He was refused bail and had a bedside hearing today (Sunday 6 March 2016), where he was refused bail, to appear at Parramatta Local Court on 10 March 2016.
