A 25-year-old man has been charged in relation to an armed robbery that occurred in Cairns this morning.
It will be alleged that a man armed with a knife threatened a 19-year-old male store employee and a 35-year-old male customer, before stealing cash from a Sheridan Street grocery store around 2.25am.
The 25-year-old man from Cairns North has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and assault.
He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court this afternoon.
