Police have charged a man after an armed robbery in the states mid north coast on the weekend.
About 4.50pm on Sunday 13 March 2016, a 36-year-old man entered a premises on Oxley Highway, Wauchope.
Police have been told the man approached the counter, produced a knife and demanded money from the till.
The man ran from the premises and got into a white Holden Commodore. He was seen driving west along Oxley Highway.
A vehicle matching the description was located in a car park about 10.00pm.
Officers attached to Mid North Coats Local Area Command conducted a search of the vehicle and located a knife which was seized for forensic examination.
Following ongoing investigations, police located and arrested the man and 28-year-old woman; both were taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.
The man was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, four counts of larceny, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, two counts of possess forged prescription and resist officer in execution of duty.
The woman was charged with possess forged prescription, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen, two counts of shoplifting and resist officer in execution of duty.
Both were bail refused appear in Port Macquarie Local Court today (Tuesday 15 March 2016).
