17 March 2016 – Update – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – South Townsville

Townsville detectives investigating the alleged armed robbery of a South Townsville convenience store on Monday, March 14 have charged a man.

A 28-year-old Yabulu man was arrested today and is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with one count of armed robbery.

Police will allege around 1.30pm a man armed with a knife entered a Boundary Street business, threatening a 72-year-old female store employee, before stealing cash. No one was physically injured.
