Police are appealing for information following two robberies in Sydney’s west last month.
About 1.15am on Tuesday 16 February 2016, a man entered a service station on Norwest Boulevard, Bella Vista, armed with a firearm while demanding cash
The man fled the scene a short time later, with cash, and was last seen running along Norwest Boulevard.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police from The Hills Local Area Command established a crime scene at the location, which was examined by detectives and specialist forensic officers.
Officers from the Dog Unit also assisted with a search of the surrounding area; however, the man was not found.
In a separate incident, about 1.45am the same day, two men entered a bakery on Hewitt Street, Colyton, armed with a firearm and knife.
They threatened a staff member, and struck him in the head with the firearm, before running from the store with cash
The pair was last seen driving from the area in a vehicle, which had been parked nearby, on Willoughby Street.
The staff member did not require medical attention.
Police from St Marys Local Area Command established a crime scene at the store and launched an investigation.
Officers attached to the Metropolitan Robbery Unit recently established Strike Force Creep, as investigations into both matters continue.
Current inquiries have led Strike Force Detectives to believe the incidents are linked.
They’ve now released images of a man and woman, who may be able to assist with their investigation into the Bella Vista robbery.
The man depicted in the image has been described as having a dark complexion, aged in his late 20s, with a medium build. He is shown wearing dark-coloured clothing and a ‘Darth Vader’ style mask.
The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150-160cm tall, with dark-coloured hair and of a slim build. She is shown wearing a white cardigan, black pants and black and white sneakers.
Strike Force Detectives are also keen to speak to a second man, who may be able to assist in the Colyton investigation.
He is described as being about 165cm tall, aged in his late 20s and of a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured t-shirt and shorts.
