Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the armed robbery of a restaurant in Glenbrook tonight.

About 9.45pm (Monday 21 March 2016), two men, one armed with a firearm, entered a restaurant on Park Street.

The men approached the male owner of the premises and demanded money.

The owner complied and handed over an amount of cash before the pair ran from the premises.

Police were called and officers from Blue Mountains Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

There were no patrons inside the restaurant at the time of the robbery, and police are now seeking information from the public to assist with their investigation.
