17 March 2016 – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Deli – Woodville Gardens

A man has been arrested minutes after he allegedly robbed a deli at Woodville Gardens this afternoon.

Just after 3pm, a man armed with a knife entered the deli on Liberty Grove and threatened staff, before stealing cigarettes and running away from the deli. No one was injured.

Patrols were quickly on scene and arrested the man at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Humphries Terrace a short time later.

The 18-year-old Woodville Gardens man was charged with aggravated robbery and was refused bail to appear in court tomorrow.
