As part of a protracted investigation into a historical armed robbery of a business located at the Brisbane International Airport in 2009, police have arrested three people.
On February 2, 2009 a man, posing as a security guard entered a business and knocked an employee to the ground, hitting him with the butt of a knife and demanding he open the business safe.
The man allegedly escaped with approximately $60,000 in cash. An appeal was made to locate the offender using CCTV obtained from the business.
On March 9, 2016 detectives from the Drug and Serious Crime Group charged a 48-year-old Southport man with stealing as a clerk or servant. He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court this morning.
On October 10, 2015 a 32-year-old woman was charged with receiving tainted property. On November 21, 2015 a 42-year-old man was also charged with receiving tainted property.
It will be alleged by police the armed robbery was staged and stolen money distributed between those allegedly involved in the robbery.
