Police are seeking the assistance of the public for information following the armed robbery of a taxi driver at Nowra this morning.
About 2am (Saturday 9 April 2016), a taxi drove to Coconut Drive to collect a booking. A woman entered the rear of the taxi and the male approached the front passenger door.
The man has leant inside and produced a handgun, threatening the driver and demanding money.
The 62-year-old driver handed over cash and the pair fled the taxi running towards Illaroo Road.
The man was not injured.
Police are now searching for a man described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 30-years-old old, 180-185cm tall with a slim build. The woman is described as being short with a medium build, about 30-years-old with dark hair.
Investigations are continuing.
