Police investigating the armed robbery of a liquor store at Yagoona have released CCTV images of two men they would like to interview.

About 7.30pm on Wednesday 9 February 2016, a 27-year-old man was working at a bottle shop on Dargan Street, Yagoona, when two men entered the store.

Police have been told the pair – one of whom was armed with a wooden bat – threatened the employee, before taking cash from a till and running from the scene.

No one was injured.

The robbery was reported to police and an investigation commenced.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police have released images of two men they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

The first man depicted has been described to police as being about 195cm tall, with a slim build, and aged between 18 and 20 years.

He was shown wearing gloves, a light grey hooded jumper, dark pants and a black balaclava.

The second man depicted is described as being about 170cm tall, with an olive complexion, short dark shaved hair, and was wearing a dark top and pants, with his face concealed by a piece of orange material.

Anyone who knows the identity of these men, or has information that may assist detectives, is urged to come forward.
