Two men have been charged following investigations into an attempted armed robbery at Redcliffe overnight.
Around 12.40am it will be alleged two men attempted to enter a service station on the corner of Oxley Avenue and Anzac Avenue with their heads covered and each armed with a knife.
It will further be alleged the men were unable to gain access to the premises as an employee locked the doors.
Police attended the scene and tracked the men to a nearby residence where they were arrested.
A 17-year-old Clontarf man and a 17-year-old Redcliffe man have since been charged with attempted armed robbery and will appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court today.
