Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery in Sydney’s south west earlier this month.

Around 6.45pm (Sunday 15 May 2016), officers attached to Sydney City Local Area Command were called to a bottle shop on Macarthur Street, Ultimo.

Police were contacted following an armed robbery.

A  man armed with a hammer threatened the shop assistant, demanded money and left with cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He’s been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 25 -35 years old, with short black hair, wearing dark clothing and a black and grey baseball cap.
