Police investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store that occurred in Kangaroo Point yesterday afternoon have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
Just after 1.15pm, a man allegedly armed with a hand gun entered the Ferry Street store and demanded money from the male shop attendant. The attendant complied with his demands and the offender left the store on foot.
No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.
The man is described as being Pacific Islander, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 175cm tall with a stocky build and short black hair.
He was wearing a black flat brim baseball cap with “Sox” written vertically on the front, a black leather jacket with hoodie and a dark coloured shirt underneath, dark blue or black jeans, black and white Converse style shoes with white laces.
Dutton Park detectives believe the man pictured may also be able to assist with similar investigations into armed robbery offences committed on April 19 and May 18 in East Brisbane.
