Police are searching for a man who used a rifle to rob a service station at Coomera this morning.

Around 1.30am a man entered the Brygon Creek Drive business and made demands for money and cigarettes while armed with a rifle.

The 23-year-old male store employee handed over an amount of cash from the till and cigarettes.

The offender then fled the premises.

He was last seen running in a southerly direction along Brygon Creek Drive.

No one was physically injured in the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 170 cm tall with an average build and spoke with an Australian accent.

He was wearing a blue hoody sweat shirt, dark jeans, fingerless gloves and running shoes.

Investigations are continuing.
