Police are searching for three men who robbed a Boondall take-away shop this evening.
Around 7.30pm two men armed with knives and faces covered by handkerchiefs, entered the Sandgate Road business and approached a 46-year-old female employee.
One of the men pushed the woman to the ground causing minor bruising and abrasions to her arms and legs.
The second man approached a 48-year-old male employee. The employee sprayed oil at the man, which distracted him and enabled the employee to remove the knife.
The pair then began a struggle during which time a third male offender has entered the store, jumped the counter and stolen a quantity of cigarettes.
The trio then all fled on foot.
The woman went to Redcliffe Hospital for treatment and the male employee was not injured.
Two of the men are described as aged between 20 and 22, with dark complexions, approximately 170 – 175cms tall with solid builds
