One man has been charged and police continue to look for two other suspects and a vehicle following a robbery at a licensed premises at Pennington overnight.
About 3.15am on Monday 29 August, two men armed with firearms smashed their way into the Grand Junction Tavern, Grand Junction Road, Pennington, shortly after closing time. They threatened staff and made off with two cash boxes. The suspects left in a dark Holden sedan.
Fortunately, staff were not physically injured during the hold-up.
About 4.15am, police stopped a similar vehicle in Stirling Street, Thebarton. Two men got out of the car and ran off, while the female driver drove away. Police searched the area and quickly located one of the suspects. He was arrested without further incident.
The 23-year-old Munno Para man has since been charged with aggravated robbery and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
