Police have charged a man following the alleged armed robbery of a licenced premises in Deception Bay yesterday afternoon.
It is alleged that around 12.40pm a man entered the business on Bailey Road and threatened the shop attendant before fleeing the premises with an amount of alcohol.
Police located the man a short distance away where he then allegedly produced a knife and threatened officers.
Police gave a verbal warning to the man before deploying a conductive energy device to subdue him.
The 29-year-old Kelso man was arrested at the scene and given first aid before being transported to Redcliffe Hospital for observation.
He has been charged with armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, deprivation of liberty, going armed so as to cause fear and two counts of serious assault police officer. He is due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on today.
