Police are investigating after an attempted armed robbery incident in a West End service station yesterday afternoon.
Around 3.20pm, a man entered the service station on Ingham Road and approached a female staff member at the counter.
The man produced a syringe and made demands for money, but the staff member refused.
The man fled the store on foot empty-handed, and was last seen meeting up with a second male person before running away from the area.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
