Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a restaurant in Kelvin Grove a short time ago.

Initial investigations indicate that around 12.10pm, a man armed with knives entered the business on Kelvin Grove Road and threatened two staff members.

The man made demands for money, and the staff members complied, handing over a sum of money.

The man then fled the scene on foot and was last seen heading towards a nearby university campus.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s with a solid build.

He was wearing black clothing at the time of the incident, including a black baseball cap and sunglasses.
