Police have charged two men following investigations into the alleged attempted armed robbery of a West End service station on Saturday afternoon, September 10.
It will be alleged a man entered the service station on Ingham Road around 3.20pm and approached a female staff member at the counter.
Police alleged the man then produced a syringe and made demands for money, but the staff member refused.
It will further be alleged the man fled the store on foot empty-handed, and was last seen running from the business with a second man.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The men, aged 26 and 38, have been charged with two counts each of attempted armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence.
