Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery at a Heathmont convenience store today.
Investigators have been told a man entered the Campbell Street store armed with a knife and demanded cigarettes about 12.17am.
The man left with 6 packets of cigarettes and fled on foot in an easterly direction.
No one was injured during the incident.
Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
