Police are investigating following an alleged armed robbery in the state’s Central West.

Just after 5am yesterday (Monday 2 January 2017), two men entered a business on Mitchell Highway, Wellington.

The two men, allegedly armed with a knife and a baton, threatened a female staff member and demanded cash and cigarettes, before fleeing the scene in a white Mitsubishi Magna.

The woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics as a precaution for bruising to her forearm.

Officers attached to Orana Local Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced and investigation.

Police would like to speak to two men who might be able to assist with inquires.

The first man has been described to police as being about 173cm tall, with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a balaclava, grey hooded jumper, grey tracksuit pants, pink gloves and black shoes.

The second man has been described to police as being about 183cm tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jumper, with black shorts and white joggers.

Police are urging anyone with any information to contact detectives from Dubbo Police Station via Crime Stoppers.
