A man will face court tomorrow after an alleged armed robbery in Armidale.
Emergency services were called to a business on Queen Elizabeth Drive, Armidale about 9.30pm on Thursday 19 January 2017, following reports of an armed robbery.
Police were told a man entered the store and threatened a staff member with a knife, before stealing a number of items and cash.
Officers from New England Local Area Command attended and launched an investigation into the matter.
As a result of inquiries, about 7am today (Sunday 22 January 2017), an 18-year-old man was interviewed by police at Armidale Police Station, he was charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.
The man was bail refused to appear at Armidale Local Court tomorrow (Monday 23 January 2017).
