Police are investigating following a theft which occurred at a store in Wangaratta last weekend.
Investigators have been told a woman at a supermarket on Ryley Street was selecting items when she placed her handbag on a large bin of fruit and walked away about 2.20pm on Saturday 25 February.
It is believed a man then circled the handbag for a short time.
A woman then picked up the handbag and placed it in her own handbag.
A short time later the offending female attended a Roy Street service station in a blue hatchback where she used the victim’s credit card to pay for fuel.
Detectives have released an image of a vehicle they wish to identify, as well as images of a man and woman they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
