Police have charged a man following an armed robbery that occurred in Logan Central this morning.

Officers were called to a service station on Kingston Road at 3.45 this morning following reports of a robbery.

It will be alleged that a man entered the business and threatened the attendant while another man stood outside holding a knife.

It is further alleged that the man inside received a sum of cash and fled the scene, but was taken into custody by officers a short time later.

A 33-year-old Marsden man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 29.

Investigations are continuing.
