A woman’s been threatened with a gun during a terrifying armed robbery at Abermain Bowling Club overnight.
Two men, one carrying a rifle, smashed their way into the club with sledgehammers at around 10:30pm.
A female worker who was the only person inside the club at the time, had her ankles and wrists taped up with duct tape.
However they freed her a short time later so she could access the club’s safe, an ATM, an e-bet machine and cash tins from the poker machines.
The woman was then taped up again and the men fled in a white Nissan Pulsar.
She managed to call Triple-0 and police set up a crime scene.
The robber’s getaway car was later found torched nearby.
Police say the pair made off with a “large amount” of cash.
