Holden Hill Police are seeking information from the public after a man attempted to rob a pawnbrokers at Modbury last night.
Just before 9pm, a man wearing dark clothing, sunglasses and armed with syringe threatened staff demanding gold from the premises on North East Road.
The staff member refused and the man left the shop empty handed, getting into a waiting white Toyota Hiace van, driven by another man.
There were no injuries in the incident, police patrols searched the area, but the van wasn’t located.
