Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Leeton yesterday.
About 1pm, (5 November 2017), a Holden Rodeo utility has driven into the drive-through section of a liquor store on Sycamore Street.
Two men with their faces covered left the passenger-side of the vehicle and ran into the store and confronted a 22-year-old female worker with a knife.
The men took cash, cigarettes and the woman’s handbag before running back to the waiting vehicle which drove off with the men.
The woman was not injured during the incident.
Officers from Griffith Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.
Inquiries have established that the Holden Rodeo, with NSW registration WQL481, was stolen.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the vehicle or the men to contact Leeton Police or Crime Stoppers.
