A man has been charged following two armed robberies alleged to have occurred in the Mackay area last week.
It will be alleged around 5.45pm on November 30 a man entered a convenience store on Beaconsfield Road armed with a screwdriver.
The man allegedly demanded money from a female staff member, before fleeing the scene on foot with a sum of cash.
It will be further alleged that later at midnight, December 1, a man entered a service station on the Bruce Highway at Coningsby and approached the counter armed with a knife.

No one was physically injured during either incident.
A 26-year-old Slade Point man has since been arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery and is due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court today (December 7).
