Detectives are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred in Townsville this evening (December 16).
At about 8pm, a man entered the drive through bottle shop of a licensed premises on Stagpole Street and threatened a male staff member with a fence paling.
The man fled the scene a short time later with a quantity of alcohol.
No one was injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
