Police have released footage of two men who tried to rob a service station in Brinsmead in the early hours of Sunday morning.

At 2.30am on March 18, two men approached a service station on Brinsmead Road and entered the store.

One of the men produced a knife and made demands for cash, and the attendant then grabbed a piece of wood and chased the pair from the store.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident and the two men fled empty-handed.

The man with the knife is described as Caucasian in appearance and was last seen wearing a white hooded jumper, red shorts and a black cap.

The second man is also Caucasian in appearance and was last seen wearing a black jacket, light blue skinny jeans and a black cap.

Police are appealing for anyone who may know the men or has any information which may assist the investigation to contact them.
