Police are investigating the armed robbery of a phone store at Southport yesterday evening.
Investigations indicate that around 5.30pm, a man entered the Scarborough Street business and waited for customers to leave, before approaching two staff-members at the front counter.
The man has then produced a firearm and threatened a 33-year-old male employee, demanding cash.
The staff-member has complied and the man has run from the store.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, slim build, with short brown hair and aged in his 30s.
Investigations continue.
