July 24, 2011 – Indecent Assault – Department Store – Parramatta

Police have charged a man in relation to the alleged indecent assault of a young girl in Sydney’s west earlier this month.

The 40-year-old man was arrested after attending Ryde Police Station late last night.

He has been charged with aggravated indecent assault and common assault.

The man has been granted conditional bail to appear at Ryde Local Court on Wednesday 3 August.

The charges relate to the alleged indecent assault of an eight-year-old girl in the toy aisles of a department store on Argyle Street in Parramatta on Thursday 14 July.

Yesterday, detectives released CCTV to the public in a bid to assist the investigation.
