Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night at a take away restaurant on Beaudesert Road, Acacia Ridge.

Just after 10pm, two men armed with knives entered the store and demanded cash from a female employee.

The staff member put the register draws on the counter so the men could take the contents.

The men left the store with a sum of money, and one of the cash register draws.

They were last seen running from the store. It is unknown if they left the scene on foot or in a car.

One of the men is described as being around 185cm tall, with a slim build, carrying a white shoulder bag. The other man is described as being around 175cm tall, Caucasian with a proportionate build.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Police investigations are continuing.
