Police have arrested and charged a 35-year-old woman from Millicent for theft after she was allegedly caught on CCTV withdrawing money using a stolen credit card at an ATM in the state’s south east.

It is alleged the woman stole an amount of cash from the ATM in Millicent on Tuesday 19 July 2011.

The woman has been charged with two counts of theft and two counts of manipulating a machine.

One count of theft relates to a separate incident where the woman is alleged to have stolen a handbag from a hotel in Millicent.

It is also alleged the woman accessed a credit card after stealing a handbag from an unlocked car in Millicent.

The woman has been bailed to appear in court on 14 September 2011.

Police would like to remind members of the community to remain vigilant in locking their motor vehicles and ensuring their Personal Identification Numbers are not kept with their credit and debit cards.
