Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Fortitude Valley this afternoon.

Around 3.45pm, a man has entered a business on Brunswick Street and produced what appeared to be a handgun.

The man threatened two female employees before fleeing the store with a sum of cash.

He was last seen heading into a car park on Water Street.

There were no physical injuries as a result of the robbery.

The man is described as being 185-190cms tall and approximately 25-years-old.

At the time of the offence, he was wearing grey tracksuit pants, dark hooded jumper, and blue shoes. He was also wearing a green/grey latex clown mask with deep wrinkles and orange curly hair.
