Detectives are conducting inquiries after two separate ‘glassing’ incidents in Bankstown Local Area Command overnight.
About 7.15pm (Wednesday 26 April 2012), a 58-year-old man and another man became involved in an argument at a licensed club on Hector Street, Bass Hill.
During the argument the man allegedly hit the 58-year-old man in the face with a glass before running from the premises.
The victim was knocked unconscious during the incident.
He was conveyed to Bankstown Hospital where he was treated for two cuts to his left cheek and ear.
Police attended the location and a crime scene was established.
The offender has been described as having a muscular build, olive complexion and dark short hair. He was wearing white-coloured shirt, dark jeans and white shoes.
In a separate incident about 9.15pm (Wednesday 26 April 2012), a fight broke out between two groups of men at a pub on Beaconsfield Street, Milperra.
During the incident a 33-year-old man was allegedly hit with a glass causing a cut to his face. A number of the other men had lacerations from the incident.
Police were present and the location and intervened. At this stage none of the men have assisted police with the investigation.
All men refused assistance from NSW Ambulance Paramedics.
