Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred last night in the Ipswich District.
Around 6pm, three men entered a convenience store on North Station Road, North Booval and threatened the store attendant with golf clubs.
The male employee activated a security alarm, and the three men used the golf clubs to strike the counter before fleeing the scene.
The men entered a red sedan that was parked on Thurso Street, and were last seen driving west along Jacaranda Street.
The male employee was not physically injured during this incident.
At around 7.50pm, four men entered another convenience store on Gledson Street, North Booval.
The men, one of them armed with a golf club, assaulted two male employees and attempted to gain access to the cash register.
The men fled the store with cigarettes.
The two male employees were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
