Ipswich detectives have charged two men following a series of robbery offences across the Ipswich District.

An 18-year-old Bundamba man and a 17-year-old Goodna man have been charged with one count of armed robbery in company, attempted armed robbery in company and assault occasioning bodily harm.

It will be alleged that on April 23 the men entered a convenience store on North Station Road, North Booval and threatened the store attendant with golf clubs.  The male employee activated a security alarm, and the men used the golf clubs to strike the counter before fleeing the scene.

It will be further alleged that on the same evening the men entered another convenience store on Gledson Street, North Booval.  The men, one of them armed with a golf club, assaulted two male employees and attempted to gain access to the cash register.  The men fled the store with cigarettes.

The 18-year-old man has been further charged with five counts of robbery in company following a series of incidents between March 18 and March 26 in the Ipswich area.  It is alleged the man targeted pizza delivery drivers who were assaulted and robbed of cash and food.

Both men remain in custody and are due to appear at the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
