Police have charged a 20-year-old Tewantin man following investigations into an armed robbery attempt at a fast food outlet in Nambour overnight.
Around midnight, it will be alleged a man used a replica firearm to smash a side window of the outlet before gaining entry to the store.
Another man allegedly involved in the offence, remained on the drive way of the business.
Staff members inside at the time fled the premises to a nearby location where they alerted police.
A 20-year-old was charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit a crime.
He is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
